Burial Insurance
Permanent whole life coverage built for one job: making sure your funeral and final bills don't fall on your family. Your rate locks in for life and never increases. No medical exam, day-one coverage on most plans.
Term Life Insurance
The most coverage for the least money — period. Lock in your rate for 10, 15, 20, or 30 years to cover your mortgage and replace your income during the years your family needs you most. Living benefits included for free at most carriers.
Optional add-on: Accidental death rider — extra payout if death is accidental
Children's Whole Life
Lifelong coverage for your child or grandchild at today's rate. Gerber's plan automatically doubles at age 18 — and the cash value builds over the decades, giving them a head start as adults.
Indexed Universal Life (IUL)
Permanent life insurance with a tax-advantaged cash value account built in. Earns interest tied to the S&P 500 up to a cap — and a 0% floor protects you when the market drops. Best for people who already max their 401(k) or Roth IRA.
Guaranteed Acceptance Life Insurance
Turned down before? This is the plan that accepts everyone — no health questions, no exam. Benefits are limited in the first two years: natural causes returns your premiums plus interest, while accidents are covered in full from day one. And many people who assume they need it actually qualify for day-one simplified coverage instead — we check that first.
First 2 years: limited benefit — accidental death covered in full from day one

Which one fits your life today?
You just want the funeral covered
It's permanent whole life — your rate locks in for life, with no medical exam, and it's one of the most affordable ways to make sure your family isn't stuck with a $12,000 funeral bill. The bare-minimum coverage just about every family should have.
See your rate →Raising kids or carrying a mortgage
Married or single, if people count on your paycheck, term life keeps that income coming for the years they need it most. Lock your rate in for 10 to 30 years — no exam for most healthy applicants.
How term life works →New parent or grandparent
Something you set up now so they never have to worry about it later. Locking it in while they're young and healthy means they walk into adulthood already covered — and with Gerber, the coverage doubles at 18, automatically.

IUL adds another tax-advantaged retirement bucket after you've filled up your 401(k) and Roth IRA. Not an investment — a long-term income strategy.

Guaranteed acceptance takes everyone ages 50–80, no health questions. And many people who think they need it actually qualify for something better first — we check that for you.

Do you offer anything besides life insurance?
No — life insurance is all we do: burial, term, IUL, and children's whole life. Focusing on one thing means we know our carriers and products inside out. If you need coverage we don't offer, I'm happy to point you to a specialist.
Do you offer guaranteed acceptance life insurance?
Yes — guaranteed acceptance (also called guaranteed issue) accepts everyone ages 50–80 with no health questions, up to $25,000, through carriers like Corebridge and Gerber. Benefits are limited in the first two years: natural-cause death returns premiums plus interest, while accidental death is covered in full from day one. Many people who assume they need guaranteed acceptance actually qualify for simplified-issue coverage with full day-one benefits — we check that first. If you already have any life insurance policy, don’t cancel it until your new one is approved and in force — we’ll review your current coverage first so nothing lapses. Availability varies by state.
Are you a captive agent for one carrier?
No — we're completely independent. We're appointed with 15+ carriers including Mutual of Omaha, AIG/Corebridge, Gerber Life, American Amicable, Liberty Bankers, Protective, Ameritas, Baltimore Life, Combined (Chubb), CICA, and others. We compare live rates from each and bring you the best fit. No carrier pays us to push their product.
Do you serve clients outside Oregon?
Yes. Gilbert is licensed in 30+ states. We serve families across the western U.S. through phone, video, and email. If you're in Oregon, you can also meet in person at the Woodburn office by appointment.
Which product is right for my situation?
It depends on your life stage. New parents or grandparents → children's whole life. Working families with a mortgage → term life. Higher earners who already max 401(k)/Roth → IUL. Seniors 55+ with no mortgage → burial insurance. Turned down before or a serious health condition → guaranteed acceptance. Still not sure? Call 971-444-6449 and I'll tell you in 5 minutes.
Can I combine multiple products?
Absolutely — and many families do. A common combo is term life (to cover the mortgage years) plus burial insurance (so your family doesn't get a funeral bill later). Another is children's whole life for the kids plus term for yourself. We build around your situation, not a one-size-fits-all package.
What if I'm not sure which product to pick?
That's exactly what we're here for. Call or text 971-444-6449 and we'll ask a few questions about your age, family situation, and budget. Most people figure it out in one conversation — no obligation, no commitment until you sign.
Can I get life insurance if I've been declined before?
Yes — a decline from one carrier doesn’t mean every carrier says no. Underwriting varies company to company, so we check simplified-issue options first (a few health questions, no exam) before guaranteed acceptance (no health questions at all, ages 50–80). Most people declined years ago, or for a manageable condition, qualify somewhere. Call or text 971-444-6449 and we’ll tell you which one fits.
Should I cancel my current policy before a new one is approved?
No — keep any existing policy active until the new one is approved and in force. Replacing a policy too early can restart waiting periods and leave you with a gap in coverage if something happens in between. We'll review what you already have before you apply for anything new.
Does guaranteed acceptance have a waiting period?
Not a waiting period exactly — coverage starts day one. The first two years carry a graded benefit: if death is from natural causes, your family gets back all premiums paid plus interest; accidental death is paid in full from day one. After two years, the full benefit applies no matter the cause.
How much coverage can I get with no health questions?
With guaranteed acceptance, $5,000 to $25,000, ages 50–80, no health questions at all. If you qualify for simplified-issue instead (a few health questions, no exam), coverage goes up to $50,000 — often at a lower price. We check both and show you the higher option first.
Can I get a policy for my mom or dad who was declined?
Yes — a child, sibling, or spouse can buy a policy on a parent or family member with their consent. Many adult children reach out after a parent was declined elsewhere, and guaranteed acceptance (no health questions, ages 50–80) is built for exactly that. We'll walk you and your parent through it together, by phone.
